Thornfields, established in 1993, specialises in providing high quality, relevant and interactive training to managers and staff in the primary care sector.

Developing General Practice

The pace of change in general practice has never been faster. The last few years have seen unprecedented change which will be continuing for the foreseeable future.

Thornfields Ltd remains a key support to practice managers and team members in keeping pace with every development.

The latest changes to the Quality & Outcomes Framework - operational from 1st April 2008 can be found in the Latest News Section.

Practice Based Commissioning also remains a hot topic for every practice. Development has been slow in many areas but is now beginning to happen quickly with many practices and cluster groups becoming fully functioning organisations and taking the lead on service changes and developments. Thornfields courses on Writing a Successful Business Case and a new one of Moving Forward with PBC can help practices and managers take the lead in this important business area.

The end of the IM&T DES has not altered the need for effective Information Governance. Every practice must have systems in place to manage this and also be in a position to sign their Statement of Compliance. Our updated course will provide you with everything you need to comply with all the information Governance requirements.
